The 7-foot-4 18-year-old Frenchman has showcased incredible skills for his size, leaving many fans to conclude that he could be the most hyped player since LeBron James.

Despite the narrow defeat, Wembanyama was on top of his game. He scored 26 points and grabbed 18 rebounds, per ESPN.

Wembanyama basketball GOAT?

According to Forbes, an agent who represents NBA and overseas players, Wembanyama has all the tools to become the greatest of all time only if he doesn't get injured.

“If he’s not hurt, he’ll be the greatest player ever.”

The agent dismissed comparisons to Orlando Magic big man Bol Bol, who is averaging 12.1 points and 7.1 rebounds in his fourth NBA season.

“He’ll be the best rim protector in the NBA from day one. And then offensively he’ll be an efficient, unstoppable force from day one.”

The youngster will have to play in the NBA next season to prove that he's worth the hype. However, his performances in recent months, his size and his raw talent mean he will not have a tough time adjusting.

Durant on Wembanyama

Sports Brief earlier reported on Brooklyn Nets star Kevin Durant weighing in on Wembanyama who has caught the eyes of many NBA stars including LeBron James.

Durant said he can't wait to see the Frenchman in the NBA and possibly play against him.

"I’m impressed with him, I can’t wait to see him in the league, see how everything pans out for him in the league and I’m also looking forward to playing against him as well.”
