Boston Celtics superstar Jayson Tatum has revealed a priceless lesson the 2022 NBA Finals defeat taught him as he attempts to make another run.
Tatum and the Celtics shocked many when they beat top teams in the Eastern Conference to set up a mouth-watering series against Golden State Warriors.
Although they stunned the Warriors in two of the first three games, Stephen Curry and the Dubs demonstrated why they went to the NBA Finals five straight times.
Steve Kerr's side ended the series in six games, much of it thanks to Curry who won his first Finals MVP to cement his legacy as of the best players of all time.

Tatum also proved that he arrived on the biggest stage having went through Kevin Durant, Giannis Antetokounmpo and Jimmy Butler to reach the final. This season he's averaging 30.6 pointers per game and is among the top contenders for the MVP award
Tatum on lessons learnt
According to ESPN, Tatum revealed that playing in the final was tough, especially coming up against hardened veterans like Curry, Draymond Green and Klay Thompson.
He said he now knows what it's like to play in the finals and he feels he knows what he has to do.
"My mindset was different after [the Finals]. I know what it takes now. I know what it feels like. They let me get there, and now I know what more I got to do."

NBAGiven his performances for the Celtics this season, it is clear that the finals loss taught him a lot despite the offseason shenanigans in the franchise, per the Athletic.
"This year I think I'm more comfortable in my own skin. I know who I am, I know what I can do."
