Brooklyn Nets superstar Kevin Durant has opened up on his former team Golden State Warriors winning the NBA championship last season.
Durant won two titles with the Warriors following a controversial free agency move to Oakland from Oklahoma City Thunder in 2016. He subsequently teamed up with Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green.
The Three formed a potent team that dominated the league for three years before he left after an Achilles injury.
During the Warriors' title triumphs in 2017 and 2018, Durant won Finals MVP on both occasions and his scintillating playoff display in 2019 was only halted due to the injury.

Durant on GSW title win
Before the 2022 NBA finals, there were debates about whether Curry and the Dubs could go all the way without Durant. Curry and his team emphatically ended the debate by beating Boston Celtics in six games.
Durant had been swept earlier in the playoffs by the Celtics. He said that many fans and analysts were always going to make it about him after the Warriors' win that's why he didn't like it, per Washington Post.
“I can’t lie: Watching the Finals, I knew so many people would turn their focus on me once they won. I was like, I hate that they won, because y’all not going to make it about them; it’s going to be all about me. I think it’s just a childish way of looking at that experience. I feel like you can take it all in and appreciate what they did and not even talk about me. I was just sitting at home. But I get how it is.”
