Dennis Rodman to Russia

The NBA legend reportedly plans to try to bring Brittney Griner back to the States. Seven-time WNBA All-Star and current member of the Phoenix Mercury, Brittney Griner, has been detained in Russia since February and given a nine-year prison sentence for drug possession.

"I got permission to go to Russia to help that girl," Rodman said, per Jonathan Allen of NBC News. "I'm trying to go this week."

The legendary basketball star stated he had faith that his friendship with Russian President Vladimir Putin would help the cause of getting relief for Griner. He added,

"I know Putin too well."

He has informal international experience. Allen said Rodman had a relationship with Kim Jong Un and was at Trump's 2018 meeting with Kim in Singapore. ESPN reported that Griner's lawyers appealed her sentencing, which the State Department called "wrongfully held."

Her lawyers stated she had been prescribed c*nnabis to relieve pain, and Griner maintained she packed the canisters by accident. Antony Blinken claimed the U.S. made a "serious proposition" to Russia to restore Griner and Paul Whelan to the U.S.

The 19-year-old daughter of NBA legend Dennis Rodman, Trinity Rodman, is the highest-paid player in the history of the NWSA. Washington Spirit has extended the contract of the 2021 Rookie of the Year. Her new contract, a four-year pact for $1.1 million, is an increase over the $3 million, or $42,000 per year, she was due to get under her previous agreement to play in the National Women's Soccer League.

She may extend her NWSL contract till 2025. Trinity will receive $281,000, topping Alex Morgan and Megan Rapinoe's $250,000 salary. Last year, she signed a three-year contract with housing and bonuses for $42,000 a year. Trinity's outstanding season led to her being drafted as the league's youngest player in January 2021.

She was the only player from her team invited to the US Women's National Team training camp. Trinity has been likened to Alex Morgan and Megan Rapinoe, who have lucrative contracts. Megan and Alex earn $250,000 annually. Many predict Trinity to join Morgan and Rapinoe as USWNT stars.

Dennis Rodman’s net worth

His net worth is barely $500,000 despite his stellar career. Bear in mind that all of a person's assets must be considered when calculating their wealth, which means the player squandered most of his wealth earned during his active career. A significant chunk of it also went to his ex-wives during divorces.

Dennis Rodman’s rings

During his career, he was part of five championship teams, winning championship rings in 1989, 1990, 1996, 1997, and 1998. The first season was spent with the Detroit Pistons, and the next three were spent with the Chicago Bulls.

His rebounding skills soon followed his defensive tenacity. In Detroit, he was a small forward whose job was to neutralize the opponent's best players. He was so flexible that he could guard centres, forwards, or guards, and won two NBA Defensive Player of the Year Awards. The following is the breakdown of his career awards.

Dennis Rodman’s hair

His famous hairdo is almost as vivid as Dennis himself. His hair became a bigger discussion point than his basketball play for the Chicago Bulls in the 1990s and early 2000s. Week after week, he would emerge from the locker room with a new colour, pattern, or style. It was, and still is, a sight to behold. Watch Netflix's The Last Dance to see his much-talked-about hair.

What is Dennis Rodman's highest scoring?

The 1991 game against the Denver Nuggets was Rodman's highest-scoring game. That night, he scored 34 points, but his greatest effect came from the 23 rebounds he grabbed. He put in as much effort on the glass on the night he scored a career-high as he did in the paint.

His career scoring average was just 7, but his defence and rebounds helped him become a legend, thanks to Dennis Rodman's height. Every basketball lover should watch books and films on Dennis Rodman's career.
