Nigerian MMA pundit, Afolabi Ojabowale, has hailed Israel Adesanya for doing a great job against Alex Pereira in UFC 287 after the Brazilian defeated Jiri Prochazka at UFC 303 in Las Vegas.

The 36-year-old Brazilian floored the Czech Republic fighter to retain his light-heavyweight title at UFC 303.

Many consider Pereira the undisputed champion in his division, with several fans praising Adesanya for doing a good job against him the last time they locked horns in the Octagon.

Sharing his thoughts about Pereira's victory over Prochazka, Pundit Ojabowale told Sport Brief that Adesanya's victory over the Brazilian was remarkable.

"Absolutely, Israel Adesanya's victory over his longtime rival, Alex Pereira at UFC 287 was a remarkable achievement, especially given Pereira's dominance since moving up to light heavyweight," he said.

Ojabowale also explained why Pereira has been untouchable in his new weight class.

"Pereira had been untouchable in his new weight class, showcasing incredible power and skill," he added.

Pereira's win over Prochazka at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas was his second win over the Czech MMA star, with the first one coming in November.

It might take a while for Adesanya to face Pereira, as the Nigerian is set to face South African fighter Dricus du Plessis at the main event of UFC 305 in August.
