Igeu Kabesa is officially a double champion in the EFC.
The man known as Smiley made history in the co-main event of EFC 112 and proved once again why he's considered the greatest MMA star on the continent.
Smiley defeated Kaleka ‘Block’ Kabanda in the co-main event of EFC 112 to win the vacant Lightweight championship of the world.
The Featherweight champion dominated his division and then moved on to Lightweight to challenge himself, but he was not challenged. Facing a dangerous threat in Kabanda, Smiley took him down in the first round and used his superior wrestling skills to control his opponent.

Block tried to reverse the position at one point, but he only made things worse for himself. He gave up his back, and Kabesa quickly hooked in a rear-naked choke, forcing Block to tap out.
Kabesa now holds two titles in two divisions, but his eyes are set on international glory. Many feel he should already compete for promotions like the UFC or PFL.
Arguably the greatest champion in the EFC's history, Kabesa dreams of competing overseas, but problems with Home Affairs sorting out his documentation have unfortunately derailed his dreams and left him somewhat frustrated.
