It was fun while it lasted.
Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg has said 'it’s time to move on' from speculation that he will be fighting Elon Musk in a cage match soon.
He made the announcement on new social media app, Threads, on Sunday, claiming the Tesla founder is not serious about holding a cage fight at all.
The 39-year-old posted that he had offered Musk 'a real date' for their fight, but his fellow billionaire had made excuses.
Earlier on Sunday, Musk had suggested on X - formerly known as Twitter - that he was willing to fight Zuckerberg as early as Monday.

The Facebook co-founder claimed last week that he had proposed an August 26 date for their cage fight.
Italy's culture minister then delivered a bombshell announcement on Friday, saying he had spoken to Musk about hosting their fight in the country as a charity event.
Musk suggested his showdown with Zuckerberg would have 'an ancient Rome theme', per The Guardian.
The Meta boss blasted Musk in a post on Threads on Sunday, writing:
"Elon won't confirm a date, then says he needs surgery, and now asks to do a practice round in my backyard instead."
He then issued a challenge to Musk, writing:
"If Elon ever gets serious about a real date and official event, he knows how to reach me. Otherwise, time to move on. I'm going to focus on competing with people who take the sport seriously."
