Villareal CF and Bayern Munich will clash in the third quarterfinal of this season's UEFA Champions League.
The Yellow Submarine got to this stage by shocking everyone in accounting for Italian giants Juventus, defeating them 4-1 on aggregate in the last 16. Bayern was far more ruthless in their last tie, thumping Austrian side RB Salzburg 8-2 over the two legs.
This will be just the second time the Spanish and German sides have met in European competitions. They last danced in the 2011/12 edition of the Champions League's group stages, with Bayern winning 3-1 and 2-0.
Villareal's only hope of qualifying for next season's tournament is to win the title this year. They currently sit in 7th place on 45 points in La Liga, 12 points away from a Champions League place.
To no one's shock or horror, Bayern is rattling to a 10th consecutive Bundesliga title. They are in first place on 66 points after 29 matches, nine points ahead of the nearest chaser Borussia Dortmund.
Villareal has won three European titles, though this was last season's Europa League, as well as the UEFA Intertoto Cup in 2003 and 2004. Bayern is on the charge for a seventh Champions League title.
Kick off for the match is at 9pm (CAT). The first leg will take place at the Estadio de la Cerámica, before the tie concludes at the Allianz Arena next Tuesday, 06 April.
