The She-polopolo of Zambia have emerged third at the 2022 Africa Women’s Cup of Nations in Morocco following their 1-0 win over the Super Falcons of Nigeria on Friday night.

The Super Falcons were then stunned in the 29th minute following a beautiful run from the left which saw a cross fall to a Zambian player, and the resultant Katongo shot hit Nnadozie into the net.
It was a tough first half for Nigeria as Zambians looked defensively organised and continued to threaten on the break, especially with Chanda.

Super Falcons protest unpaid bonuses and allowances
Meanwhile, Sports Brief earlier reported that the Super Falcons of Nigeria boycotted training on Wednesday morning following the refusal by the Nigeria Football Federation to pay their bonuses.
Falcons were said to be demanding immediate payment of their appearance fee ahead of their third-place final match against Zambia.
It was gathered that the NFF has promised to fulfil the promises, but so far, the ladies have not been paid.
