Nigeria qualify for big tournament after beating Ivory Coast

Earlier, Sports Brief reported Super Falcons have qualified for the African Women Cup of Nations (AWCON) after beating Ivory Coast 1-0 in Abidjan in their second leg qualifier on Wednesday evening, 23 February.

The Ivorian women went into this game with the target of overcoming their 2-0 first-leg defeat in Abuja against the Super Falcons, but they were unable to impress their faithful at home.

They started the match impressively trying to cage the Super Falcons, but the Nigerian side were more determined and they refused to be intimidated on the pitch.
