Super Eagles star Alex Iwobi on Monday night, November 1, extended his goal scoring run in the Premier League against Wolves to three after netting for Everton in their 2-1 defeat.
Wolves playing at home and having not lost in their last four games started the match against Everton impressively knowing fully well that a win would help their stand on the table.
However, they had to wait until the 28th minute before netting for the first goal of the match through Max Kilman.
Four minutes later, Raul Jimenez netted the second goal for Wolves as the hosts went into the dressing room at half time with two-goal lead.
On resumption for the second half, Everton tried all their best to pull one back, but the defence of their opponents was so strong for them to break.
And when did Everton score their goal?
According to the report on GOAL and Vanguard, Everton scored their only goal in the 66th minute through Nigerian footballer Alex Iwobi.
The report added that Alex Iwobi has now scored three times against Wolves, his most against any opposition in the tournament.
Coincidentally, that was his first goal in 24 league appearances, with his previous strike coming in the exact fixture at Wolves in January last season.
The former Arsenal star will now hope to continue scoring for Everton this season in all competitions.
