Super Eagles’ captain Ahmed Musa continued his impressive form for Turkish outfit Fatih Karagumuruk as they defeat Sariyer 2-0 in Super Lig on Wednesday night, December 1, Thisday reports.
The Nigerian international scored his side’s second goal when he rattled the cross bar, with the ball crossing the goal line as referee signaled a goal.
Musa who owns Nigeria’s record with most goals in the World Cup with four goals moved to Turkish League side Fatih Karagumuruk back in July after spending about four months with NPFL club Kano Pillars.
It was gathered that the former CSKA Moscow and Leicester City forward will earn a staggering N1.02 billion ($2.5m) annually at the Turkish club.
And he started life at his new club with passion as he scored yet again in their league game against Sariyer.
Ervin Zukanovic has opened the scoring for the hosts in the 23rd minute and then Musa powered home a wondrous goal in the second half to seal it to a 2-0 win.
Musa lights up Turkish Super Lig
Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa couldn't have asked for a better start to life in Turkey as he scored on his debut for Fatih Karagumruk in their 3-2 win against Gaziantep.
Getting 90 minutes of action in the game, Ahmed Musa scored what proved to be the winning goal for his Istanbul club in 90 minutes as he dribbled past two defenders before rolling the ball into the net.
His goal in the 90th minute gave his side a 3-1 lead but the game eventually finished 3-2 with Gaziantep getting a late consolation.
The 29-year-old who was shortly replaced after scoring on his debut had a very good game.
Chukwueze scores in Villarreal's loss to Barcelona
Meanwhile, Legit.ng earlier reported that Samuel Chukwueze was at the receiving end of Villarreal's 3-1 loss to Barcelona at the Estadio de la Ceramica.
