Nigerian and Napoli striker Victor Osimhen has confirmed that he is fit for the 2022 African Cup of Nations in Cameroon thereby putting an end to speculation about him.

Since Victor Osimhen got injured, there have been serious concerns over his availability for Nigeria at the coming African Cup of Nations considering his superb performances.

Many Nigerian football followers even urged the Nigerian Football Federation to monitor Victor Osimhen closely at Napoli so that he will be able to represent the nation at AFCON.

According to the confirmation by the player himself on his official twitter page, Victor Osimhen explained that he is ready to help Nigeria in the coming African Cup of Nations.

This latest development coming from Victor Osimhen will be a cheering news for for Nigerians as countdown to Nations Cup begins.

Earlier, Sportsbrief reported how Augustine Eguavoen who is the interim handler of the Super Eagles has been backed by former Nigerian goalkeeper Peter Rufai to win the 2022 African Cup of Nations in Cameroon.

With days to the kickoff the competition, the Nigerian Football Federation announced the sacking of Gernot Rohr after five years without winning any title.

Nigerian Football Federation in their statement made it clear that Gernot Rohr lost control of the dressing room which was the reason he was fired.

And in their effort to make sure that Super Eagles do well at the coming competition in Cameroon, the NFF anointed Augustine Eguavoen as the man to take the team to Cameroon.
