Although he is yet to reach the heights marked by Yekini, Oliseh who played with the late Super Eagles striker believes Osimhen has what it takes to be a better player.

"Osimhen is Rashidi in kind of a way, he beats Gangling in a way," he said on the ATHLST podcast.
"And there is something he does better than Rashidi, which is very rare for a Nigerian striker, that is the aerial ball," he added.
"Every time I sent the ball to Rashidi to head, the man will jump higher than the ball. He loves to keep it on his chest."

Yekini died in 2012 after his long battle with illness.

Fans react to Osimhen's absence

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that football fans have taken to social media to react after Serie A leaders, Napoli were humiliated at the Diego Maradona Stadium by AC Milan.

The Naples outfit were without leading marksman, Victor Osimhen, who returned from international duty with an injury.

A Rafael Leao brace and goals from Brahim Diaz and Alex Saelemaekers saw the Italian champions make light work of Napoli.

Osimhen to miss AC Milan clash

The head coach of Napoli Luciano Spalletti has lamented following an injury that will rule Victor Osimhen out of their Champions League quarter-final clash against AC Milan.

It’s a triple-header between both teams as they will face off in the Serie A on Sunday, before their European engagement next week.

It was gathered that Osimhen has been ruled out for a few weeks after he complained of abductor strain which was later confirmed through tests.
