Why Osimhen rejected Arsenal
Earlier, Sports Brief had reported how Victor Osimhen stated that he had discussions years back with former Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger, who wanted the Nigerian striker to move to the Premier League.
So far this season, Osimhen is one of the hottest strikers in Europe through his impressive form for Napoli, with the striker also leading the Serie A goal-scoring chart.
It has now been revealed that Wenger was interested in the Nigerian when he was 18 years old, but the Frenchman was unable to convince him to move to the Emirates Stadium.
Osimhen rose to limelight in 2015 when he won the FIFA Under-17 World Cup with Nigeria and also finished as the leading scorer in the tournament.
