Musiala on representing Germany

“I could have played for Nigeria because it crossed my mind, and I thought about it well. I had good talks with Nigeria and Germany. So it really just came down to me and where I’d feel the most comfortable. So I decided to go with Germany.''

Speaking to Ayodeji Ismail, who is the head of the Sports Writers Association in the Kwara State, he told Sports Brief that Musiala would have struggled to break into Super Eagles first team.

''He made a good decision by choosing Germany, because he would even find it hard to get active playing time in the Super Eagles. I don't see him starting ahead of Iwobi, Etebo and Aribo.''

Musiala on World Cup fiasco

Sports Brief also reported on Germany and Bayern Munich youngster, Musiala describing Germany's painful exit from the 2022 World Cup.

Hansi Flick's side were tipped to reach the latter stages of the competition, but a dreadful start saw them crash out in spectacular fashion.

The four-time World Cup winners were stunned by Japan in their opening match. Despite leading for most of the match, Die Mannschaft conceded two goals as the Samurai Blue sparked an upset.
