The president of the Nigerian Football Federation, Amaju Pinnick, has stated that the football house owes a number of vendors more than N600million.
In an interview with Brila FM, Pinnick disclosed that the NFF has outstanding bills to settle hotels, travel agents, national teams, and staff members.
The administrator, who has just over a month left before his second tenure ends, added that the NFF is also being owed $6million by one of its sponsors.
He first assumed office in 2014 said, as per The Punch:

“We owe our hotels and traveling agencies over N600m, but I always want to guarantee the payment. So, it’s been very tough, but Nigerians don’t understand.
“Right now our sponsors are not paying on time because of the economic challenges. One of our sponsors is owing us about $6m and because of the business they do and the relationship, we have to understand. That money would have solved most of our problems.
“Some sponsors have even called us to renegotiate the terms in the contract, saying they can’t meet up and we understand.
“For example, our budget to the government annually is over N800m.”

Meanwhile, former Nigerian international Daniel Amokachi has claimed that the outgoing president of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Amaju Pinnick, still has plans to retain his position.

FootballPinnick, whose second term is billed to end by September 30, said he would not be seeking reelection.
The football chief earlier claimed some Nigerians are calling on him to contest for the third time as he added that many are persuading him to continue.
Osimhen scores second goal of the season
Sports Brief earlier reported that Nigerian international Victor Osimhen has expressed delight after scoring in Napoli’s 4-0 win over newly-promoted Monza in the Italian Serie A.
The Super Eagles forward, who also registered a goal in their 5-2 win over Verona in their opening league game of the season, doubled his side’s lead against Monza.
Osimhen was assisted by Cameroon star Zambo Anguissa but was substituted in the 84th minute as Luciano Spalletti takes precautions ahead of their next game.
