The world’s football governing body Fifa shared a clip of Nigeria’s Jay-Jay Okocha during his prime at World Cup outings.

Fifa recalls Okocha’s legendary status with a video showing his magical dribbling skills during the 2002 World Cup hosted by Korea and Japan.

GOAL reports that the former Eintracht Frankfurt superstar dazzled in the group stage of the competition as Nigeria were drawn against Argentina, Sweden, and England.

Sharing highlights of the playmaker who showed skills in the competition, Fifa added the caption:

“Who is the most skilful player to have ever played the beautiful game? Jay-Jay Okocha wasn't bad, so good, they had to name him twice!”

Jay Jay featured for the Nigerian national football team in 73 matches and scored 14 goals before he retired from international football in 2006.

Kevin Davies showers praises on Okocha

Meanwhile, Sports Brief earlier reported that former England international Kevin Davies has showered praises on former Super Eagles captain Jay-Jay Okocha, branding the Nigerian international ‘a magician’.

The Nigerian national team has produced some of the very best footballers, but Okocha seems to be among the stand-out players.

And reflecting on his time having played alongside Okocha at English club Bolton Wanderers, Davies disclosed that the master dribbler was really skilful.
