"Ghana is a great team and we will never underrate the team just as we've been doing, we saw the upset the Central African Republic gave to us.

Nigeria is bidding to qualify for the 2022 FIFA World Cup but must first navigate their way past arch-rivals Ghana in the second leg of the World Cup play-offs in Abuja on Tuesday, March 29.

Eguavoen To Rejig Super Eagles

Meanwhile, Super Eagles coach, Augustine Eguavoen will be forced to make changes in the Super Eagles midfield ahead of the return leg fixture against Ghana.

According to Complete Sports, Oghenekaro Etebo is expected to be named in the starting line-up, while Aribo could be pushed upfront to play behind Victor Osimhen.

The coach is also expected to name between Frank Onyeka and Innocent Bonke to start in the middle for the Super Eagles.

Former Nigeria international tells NFF to sack Eguavoen

Earlier, Sports Brief reported Arthur Ebunam has urged those in charge of Nigerian football to immediately sack Augustine Eguavoen as coach of the Super Eagles hours before the crucial game against Ghana.

Arthur Ebunam is of the view that Eguavoen does not have the quality to handle the Super Eagles and wants the Nigerian Football Federation to replace him with another gaffer.

Having gotten a draw against Ghana in Kumasi, Eguavoen and his wards are preparing for the second leg in Abuja on Tuesday evening against the Black Stars which will be very challenging.
