Sadiq Umar continued his brilliant form for Spanish second division club, Almeria as the Nigerian striker netted a brace for his side as they defeated CD Mirandés 2-1 on Sunday, February 20.
The win earned Almeria a move up the league table to second, which is one of the automatic promotion spots as the club hopes to be back in the La Liga next season.
According to Complete Sports, Sadiq opened the scoring in the 69th minute before doubling their lead in the 72nd minute but was later replaced with seven minutes left in the game.
Sadiq has now scored in three consecutive games for Almeria taking his total goal tally to 12 goals for the current season for the Spanish second division club.
Mirandes Boss eulogizes Sadiq Umar
Meanwhile, the manager of CD Mirandés, Joseba Etxeberria had nothing but praise for Super Eagles striker, Sadiq Umar after he hailed the qualities of the attacker.
According to a report via This Day, Etxeberria hailed Sadiq as one of the best attackers in the World prior to his team defeat to Almeria in which the Super Eagles forward scored a brace.
Etxeberria has only been in charge of Mirandes for just five days but was unable to prevent his side from losing against one of the best teams in the Spanish second division.
