Knowledge Musona may be 31-years-old at the moment but he’s proving that he still has what it takes to be a match-winning striker.

The former Kaizer Chiefs player is currently contracted to Al-Tai in the Saudi Arabia Pro League and put in a man of the match performance recently against Al-Batin.

The Zimbabwean striker may not have scored during the game but did set up two goals as his side recorded a 3-1 win, KickOff confirmed.

Musona signed for the Saudi Arabian outfit in June 2021, Goal.Com reported, despite reports linking him with a sensational return to Kaizer Chiefs in the DStv Premiership in South Africa.

Musona previously had two spells with the Amakhosi and was one of the club’s leading strikers during his time at the club. During his time at the Sowetan giants, he scored an impressive 44 goals.

He eventually moved on to play in Europe and enjoyed spells in Germany and Belgium. But after a difficult stint at Anderlecht, Musona opted to go to Asia to play for Al-Tai instead of returning to South Africa. At the time he explained that he was impressed with the level of football in Saudi Arabia wanted to contribute to Al-Tai staying in the top division of football in Saudi Arabia.

Musona has scored five goals and set up three goals in just 14 appearances thus far for his new club, where he plays as a midfielder, not his trademark forward role.

Musona has also impressed recently at AFCON where he scored for Zimbabwe. The team were eliminated in the group stages but put on some spirited performances.

While away on AFCON duty, Al-Tail lost three consecutive games, just highlighting how important he is to the squad.

Nedbank Cup: TS Galaxy's lightning strikes twice as they embarrass Kaizer Chiefs in the cup again

TS Galaxy claimed the big scalp of Kaizer Chiefs once more in the Nedbank Cup after running out 1-0 victors at the FNB Stadium on Saturday evening to advance to the round of 16, Sports Brief reported.

Augustine Chidi Kwem scored the only goal of the encounter in the 54th minute as the Rockets produced another shock result against Amakhosi, having previously beaten them in the 2019 Nedbank Cup final.

Kaizer Chiefs have now been dumped out of the tournament in the very first round, for the second time in a row. Last season they were surprisingly knocked out of the cup by Richards Bay in the round of 32.
