The legendary rapper, AKA received another touching tribute following his murder last Friday.

Royal AM striker, Ruzaigh Gamildien was the latest prominent individual to commemorate the slain musician, whose real name was Kiernan Forbes.

During the Nedbank Cup Round of 32 match against Cape Town City on Saturday, the former Bafana Bafana player converted a spot kick during a penalty shootout which Thwihli Thwahla eventually won 4-3.

Whether he celebrating his goal or perhaps the win itself, he lifted his match jersey to reveal an under-shirt bearing the words 'RIP AKA'.

The gesture was appreciated by the crowd, which cheered when it saw this on the Cape Town Stadium's big screen.

Benni McCarthy mourns AKA

As the continent comes to grips with the slaying of one of its finest-ever hip-hop artists, another great export to the world paid tribute to Forbes.

Manchester United first-team coach, Benni McCarthy expressed his sadness after the murder of rapper AKA. He was shot dead in Durban, with his friend Tebello 'Tibz' Motsoane also dying in the shocking attack.

McCarthy and Forbes had recently become friends, bonding over football. It helped that AKA was a staunch Red Devils supporter and had always expressed joy that a compatriot was playing a big part in the club's resurgence under Erik ten Hag.

Royal AM owner, Shauwn 'MaMkhize' Mkhize did not miss the opportunity to savour revenge sated, taking to her Instagram page to relish the win after another satisfying trip to the Western Cape.
