Jose Mourinho was the subject of an interesting incident in Norway ahead of his Roma side’s Europa Conference League quarter-final against Bodo/Glimt.

The Portuguese gaffer does not have fond memories in Norway as this is where he suffered his heaviest defeat of the season to the same opponents.

The Portuguese gaffer does not have fond memories in Norway as this is where he suffered his heaviest defeat of the season to the same opponents.

Bodo/Glimt thrashed Roma 6-1 when the two sides met in the group stage, with the defeat leading to striker Tammy Abraham engaging in a confrontation with his own fans.

Ahead of the game, a video has emerged of Mourinho trying to interact with some fans at a car park.

In the video shared by Norwegian journalist Truls Naas, Mourinho is seen approaching the fans but is instantly surprised by what looks like a snowball from the sky which was presumably thrown by one of the supporters.

A stunned Mourinho stops for a split second before changing his course, instead opting against engaging with the fans.

In the video, fans can be heard calling out to Jose Mourinho before the incident which would have left majority of them disappointed.

Chance for redemption for Roma

Unlike in October, Roma come into the game in decent form, and are currently on a nine-game unbeaten run in all competitions.

Despite the defeat against their opponents several months ago, Roma are considered heavy favourites to at least take an advantage back to Rome.

“I am happy to be back here and hope it goes better than last time,” Mourinho said in his pre-match press conference.
“I always said I don’t like artificial turf, as football is either played on grass or it is a different sport.
