The 19-year-old will be making another appearance in the competition after he was included in Jose Mourinho's squad for the rest of the competition.
Afena-Gyan missed the earlier stages because he was not registered at the beginning of the campaign, just before earning his first professional deal.
The teen sensation is enjoying a meteoric rise in his career in Italy following a breakthrough season that has seen him promoted to the senior side.
He has been a regular member of the team since making his debut in November 2021, and has scored two goals in the Italian Serie A.
The Berekum-born attacker is expected to help Roma get a good result in the first leg of their quarter-final clash with Bodø/Glimt.

"It's good for my growth to be playing here [in Roma] and to be playing for my national team. I have really positive feelings," he said at the pre-match conference.
"It's hard to play on artificial pitches. You have to have a strong mentality - we will do our best to adapt."
