Ronaldo took to Instagram to post an apology for the incident and promised to give his all to the team going forward. Former Real Madrid teammate and close friend Marcelo then commented on the post pledging his support for his former teammate.

The duo were teammates at Madrid for nine successful years and won four Champions League titles together. As reported by Eurosport, Ronaldo described Marcelo as being like a brother.
