Barcelona are putting pressure on veteran defender Gerard Pique to leave the club before next summer.

The 35-year-old was one of the worst-performing players in the Catalan giant's 3-3 draw with Inter Milan on Wednesday night.

The Spanish international made the error that led to Nicolo Barella’s goal. The centre-back's incompetence played a key role behind Barcelona’s vulnerable defence that conceded thrice.

Gerard Piqué Memes Trend Worldwide

Meanwhile, Gerard Piqué was trending for his poor performance against Inter Milan in the UEFA Champions League, but sadly it’s not for the right reasons.

The veteran Barcelona defender has become the subject of many memes after he gifted Milan an equaliser.

Piqué’s poor judgment has since become a viral moment as the defender is trending worldwide as a meme for his hand gesture.

Barcelona to Offload Pique, Busquets

Sports Brief earlier reported that Barcelona are eager to bring back Lionel Messi to the Camp Nou, two years after the Argentine maestro left the Catalan giants for Paris Saint-Germain.

The La Liga giants have now devised a master plan to re-sign Messi that involves cutting their wage bill by a further £150million through player sales.

According to Sports Mole Barcelona captains Gerard Pique, Sergio Busquets, and Jordi Alba are just a few of the high-profile players that might go as a result of the cost-cutting plan.
