The 26-year-old has decided to stay at Real Madrid against the board’s wish as he still has one year left on his present deal with the La Liga champions.
Real Madrid however wants to force Asensio out and recoup some money for him before he is available on a free next summer as Serie A giants Roma are interested in signing him this summer.
