Lionel Messi is expected to bring his two-year stint with Paris Saint-Germain to an end this summer following the expiration of his contract.
Messi's representatives have been in contact with PSG about extending his deal, and things appeared promising during the World Cup in Qatar.
However, the situation has altered with the Argentine playmaker looking more likely to leave the club rather than extend his stay.
According to RMC Sport, Messi will exit the club when his two-year deal with the Parisians runs out in the summer.

The report comes on the back of a section of the club's fans, who have turned on the player since they were knocked out of the Champions League by Bayern Munich last month.
He has since been subjected to two successive whistling and insults incidents at the Parc des Princes either side of the international break.
Meanwhile, Barcelona appears to be the most ideal destination for the 35-year-old, according to Foot Mercato.
