Coman sinks his old side

A single goal by former PSG star, Kingsley Coman was enough to give the German side the win, The Guardian reported. The result also left the Parisians on a three-game losing streak.

After the game, Lionel Messi and Neymar led some of their fellow teammates towards the PSG Ultras, to thank the fans for their support and to also apologise for their performance, The Mirror reported.

Fans have been disgruntled by the team’s recent losing streak and reported spats among teammates.

PSG on a losing streak

PSG were first dumped out of the Coupe de France by Olympique Marseille, before being beaten by AS Monaco in Ligue 1 and eventually being beaten by the Bundesliga side in front of their home fans.

Supporters are naturally growing frustrated with the side’s recent run and are hoping that things turn around very soon.

Here's how fans reacted to PSG’s apology:

@Houseofddaeng:

“They were actually held at gunpoint to do this, you can see the firing squad behind them.”

@Edwards007Ryan:

"Definitely forced to do that."

@AuwalVirah:

"Indirectly saying goodbye to the fans."

@Michell01913072:

"Ah how lovely. So they can all get on now and put everything behind them and move on now. We have to move on now."

Why are PSG currently struggling?

On paper, any team with Messi, Neymar and Mbappe is a dangerous team that will take lots of effort to stop, Sports Brief previously reported.

For the owners of PSG, assembling this dream team looked like the answer to their Champions League problems, only the team has fallen short again.

They are on the brink of yet another early elimination after a Coman strike at the Parc Des Princes gave Bayern Munich something to protect in the return leg.
