The first-team players of Paris Saint-Germain embarked on a tour to the club's future training centre in Poissy, Paris on Thursday, January 26.

Christophe Galiter's charges visited the state-of-the-art facility, just a few kilometres away from the club's current training ground the Camp des Loges for the first time.

In photos shared on the club's social media handles, seen by Sports Brief, the playing body including Messi, Mbappe and captain Marquinhos were visibly in awe of the new training centre.

The French champions unveiled rendered images of their new €300 million training centre last year, matching the ambition of the Ligue 1 side, as reported by Soccer Bible.

Sharing his thoughts about the club's latest facility, skipper Marquinhos said:

"It's simply amazing. I've been here for ten years,": the Brazil international told PSG TV.
"We thought this project was going to take a while, I wasn't sure if I'd still be around to see it. Seeing it almost finished now... it's a real pride to see the club grow and take on such a huge dimension.

Messi returns to training

Meanwhile, Lionel Messi was involved in Paris Saint-Germain’s training on Wednesday, January 25 as the French champions prepare for their weekend Ligue 1 fixture.

Messi had posted images of himself and his family spending time in the alps after he was rested by Christophe Galtier in the Coupe de France earlier in the week.

The 35-year-old is expected to feature for the reigning French champions when they host Reims in the league as PSG will hope to earn another impressive win.

PSG appoints Mbappe as leader

Sports Brief earlier reported that Kylian Mbappe has been named vice-captain at PSG on the back of his historic five-goal haul on Monday evening against a sixth-tier club.

The 24-year-old Frenchman notched an outstanding five goals as PSG completed a demolishing exercise against amateur club Pays de Cassel in the French Cup.

Aside from his historic goal-scoring feat, Mbappe also captained Les Parisiens for the first time since joining in the summer of 2017.
