It’s reported that the club hired a ‘digital army’ to target the attacker after he stated in an interview at the time that his future could lie elsewhere, The Telegraph reported.

An investigation has now been launched into whether or not the club is guilty of the allegations.

A sports lawyer has also suggested that Mbappé could be able to terminate his contract if the allegations against PSG are proven true, Madrid Universal reported.

“Professional players are bound to their club by a fixed-term employment contract which can only be broken in specific cases such as serious misconduct.”

Big teams could pounce

The ability to terminate Mbappé's contract could set the cat amongst the pigeons.

Numerous clubs, including Chelsea, Real Madrid and Liverpool, have expressed in signing the Frenchman. These interests spiked when rumours of his unhappiness at the club made headlines.

If he were to terminate his contract and become a free agent, clubs would be queuing up to try and lure Mbappé to their team.

Campos douses Mbappé exit talks

Paris Saint-Germain director Luis Campos has responded to the widespread reports of Kylian Mbappé's intention to quit the club, Sports Brief reported.

News of Mbappé's intention to leave PSG was greeted with great shock across the football landscape, with exit stories spreading like wildfire on the internet on Tuesday, October 11.
