Paris Saint-Germain have sacked Mauricio Pochettino just months after winning the Ligue 1 title as the club hierarchy have not been impressed with the Argentine manager.

Pochettino still has one year left on his current PSG deal but the French giants have decided to terminate the former Tottenham manager’s contract as they start to finetune plans ahead of next season.

According to a report via ESPN, Nice manager, Christophe Galtier, the is now the front-runner and the favourite to take over from Pochettino at the Parc des Princes.

Pochettino’s future has been clouded with uncertainties after PSG were booted out of the UEFA Champions League at the Round of 16 by Real Madrid.

The 50-year-old Argentine was strongly linked with taking over as manager of Manchester United next season before the Premier League giants opted to appoint Erik Ten Hag from Ajax.
