Awesome video has been spotted on social media where Paris Saint-Germain forward Lionel Messi was spotted greeting and hugging Italy players ahead of inaugural Finalissima.

The inaugural Finalissima also known as the UEFA Cup of Champions will be played on Wednesday evening, 1 June, between Argentina and Italy.

Lionel Messi and his teammates in the Argentina national team are the South American champions, while Italy are the reigning champions of Europe.

Italy emerged champions of Europe thanks to win over England in the final of the EURO 2020, while Lionel Messi lifted the Copa America 2020 beating Brazil.

According to the video posted on Twitter, Lionel Messi was seen greeting all the Italian players and their officials ahead of the final.

Meanwhile, Italy defender Giorgio Chiellini is set to win his 117th and last cap, while manager Roberto Mancini is likely to include a number of his Euro 2020 stars in the starting XI.

Copa America Champions Argentina take On Euro winners Italy in inaugural Finalissima showdown at Wembley

Earlier, Sports Brief had reported how it’s a clash of the champions tonight at Wembley when Italy and Argentina meet.

The winners of EURO 2020 will take on the Copa América champions in the first-ever Finalissima.

The unique match came about after UEFA (Union of European Football Associations) and CONMEBOL (South American Football Confederation) signed a renewed Memorandum of Understanding last year.

To celebrate the extension of their partnership, it was decided the champions of Europe would take on the champions of South America in a one-off game. The game will take place at Wembley at 8 pm CAT and will go straight to penalties if level after 90 minutes.

Football fans can’t wait for the unique showdown, which will see some of the best players in the world playing for a new cup. Tickets went on sale in March for the game and were sold out in less than a week.
