Former Paris Saint-Germain striker Bruno Rodriguez has had one of his legs amputated in a bid to end "constant suffering."
Rodriguez enjoyed an illustrious football career in his native country France, plying his trade with top clubs including Monaco and Bastia.
The Frenchman called time on his football career back in 2005 after a stint in the EPL with Bradford.

And nearly 17 years after he hung his boots, the former striker has undergone a life-changing operation.
The Sun reports the 49-year-old had an amputation to end constant suffering stemming from the "effects of playing career."
The disheartening news was confirmed by The Union Nationale des Footballeurs Professionels (UNDF).
“@UNFP sends strength and courage to Bruno Rodriguez, who had to, after the effects of his football career, resolve to the amputation of a leg," UNDF said in a statement.
PSG sends Bruno Rodriguez a message of support
PSG have since taken the time to send Bruno a message of support as he goes through the "difficult ordeal."
“Paris Saint-Germain sends a message of support to its former striker Bruno Rodriguez, his family and his loved ones in this difficult ordeal," the French club said.
Rodriguez scored 76 goals in over 250 league appearances for the clubs he turned out for in France, England, and Spain.
