Without a sign or warning, Phumudzo "The Bold" Manenzhe has decided to walk away from his pundit gig at the SABC.
Manenzhe made his foray into television in 2015, working in the national broadcaster's various football programmes. He made his name as a striker in the highly entertaining Orlando Pirates side coached by Serbian Kostadin Papic between 2004 and 2006, before also going onto ply his trade at now-defunct clubs Bidvest Wits, Thanda Royal Zulu and Platinum Stars.
According to an IOL report, renowned broadcaster Robert Marawa made the announcement on his own Twitter account. This led to a variety of rumours about Manenzhe's next destination, either at SuperSport or indeed Marawa's own programme 'Marawa Sports Worldwide".

Pay-tv channel SuperSport is known for raiding the SABC's stocks for talent, having roped in former Bidvest Wits, Mamelodi Sundowns and Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Josta Dladla in recent times. Manenzhe's colleague on Soccerzone Thomas Mlambo returned to SuperSport - where he made his name - from SABC after jumping ship to the latter in 2013.
The worst kept secret in media has been confirmed: Thomas Mlambo is joining SuperSport.
According to SuperSport, the seasoned broadcaster and football expert will help front up several of the broadcaster’s football properties, lending his expertise and enthusiasm to its sports offering. As reported by Sports Brief, the experienced and well-respected presenter departed from the SABC last week, with rumours heating up that he would be joining SuperSport at the beginning of this one.
This is a homecoming for Mlambo, having switched between the broadcasters back in 2013.
