Kwame Peprah was on the scoresheet as Orlando Pirates advanced to the semi-final of the CAF Confederations Cup on Sunday.

The 21-year-old scored as the South African outfit returned to winning ways following their first-leg defeat against Simba SC in Tanzania a week ago.

But Pirates recorded a last-gasp 1-0 victory in Soweto thanks to a headed goal from the former King Faisal forward in the second leg.

The game ended 1-1 on aggregate and headed straight to penalties. Pirates won the shootout 4-3 with goalkeeper Ofori converting the kick that took the Buccaneers through.

Kwame Peprah and his teammates will face the winner between Al Ahly Tripoli and Al Ittihad in a Libyan derby quarter-finals clash.

After his goals against Simba SC, Peprah has taken his goal tally to six in 19 matches played for the Soweto-based side in all competitions.

Sports Brief earlier reported that former King Faisal forward Kwame Peprah was on the scoresheet as Orlando Pirates clawed back from two goals down to thrash Royal Leopards on Sunday evening.

The 21-year-old scored and laid on an assist as the South African outfit returned back to winning ways following their defeat against Libyan side Al-Ittihad on matchday two of the Europa League equivalent competition.

Peprah, who lasted 90 minutes in the eight-goal fest, takes his goal tally to five in 19 matches played for the Soweto-based side in all competitions.
