The head coach at Italian club Napoli, Luciano Spalletti, has disclosed that Victor Osimhen will go nowhere this summer amid links with Manchester United.

Several reports claim the Nigerian international could be heading to Old Trafford as Cristiano Ronaldo’s agent is said to be working on a possible swap deal.

With United not qualifying for the Champions League, CR7 is said to be desperate to leave United and Napoli is a considered destination for the Portuguese.

It was gathered that United could offer €100million to Napoli for the Nigeria international, Complete Sports reports.

Manager Spalletti has, however reiterated that Super Eagles striker Osimhen will remain at the Italian club this summer.

Spalletti said via Football Italia:

“Osimhen gave his response, via his agent, saying he wants to play the Champions League and he wants to play it with this squad.

“He cares about his teammates, he chases down opposition players to help out and is a very strong focal point in attack. Having him at our disposal with that mentality is the best we could ask for.”

The 23-year-old has scored two goals and recorded one assist in three league appearances for the Partenopei this season.

Meanwhile, a former striker at Italian club Napoli, Bruno Giordano, has suggested that Nigerian international Victor Osimhen heads better than Manchester United striker Cristiano Ronaldo.

Giordano, who won the Scudetto with the Partenopei in 1987, disclosed that Osimhen is the catalyst of the current squad as he possesses strange qualities.

Sports Brief earlier reported that Nigerian international Victor Osimhen has expressed delight after scoring in Napoli’s 4-0 win over newly-promoted Monza in the Italian Serie A.

The Super Eagles forward, who also registered a goal in their 5-2 win over Verona in their opening league game of the season, doubled his side’s lead against Monza.

Osimhen was assisted by Cameroon star Zambo Anguissa but was substituted in the 84th minute as Luciano Spalletti takes precautions ahead of their next game.
