Nigerian international Victor Osimhen was on target in Napoli’s 10-0 thrashing of minnows Anaune in a friendly match on Thursday.

The 23-year-old came on as a substitute to score his side’s sixth goal which came minutes after his effort rattled came off the crossbar.

Matteo Politano and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia grabbed a brace each in the preseason game as Hirving Lozano, Alessio Zerbin, Amir Rrahmani and Zambo Andre Anguissa also found the back of the net.

Punch reports that an own goal by Anaune completed the rout as Osimhen has fully returned to the Italian side despite being linked with a number of top clubs.

Italian outlet Corriere dello Sport claim Napoli already received quite a number of calls for the Super Eagles star, but President Aurelio De Laurentiis insists on €110million.

Bayern Munich to Manchester United, Arsenal, Chelsea and Atletico Madrid are all interested in signing the striker.

The only club unfazed by the price tag, strengthened through new ownership, is Newcastle United.

According to Area Napoli, Osimhen has already given his answer to such a transfer, “No, thanks.”

Spalletti demands more goals from Osimhen

Meanwhile, the head coach of Italian side Napoli Luciano Spalletti has disclosed that efforts would be made for Victor Osimhen to score more goals next season.

The manager believes the Nigerian international will not leave during the current transfer window despite interest from a number of clubs.

Osimhen scored a total of 18 goals in all competitions during the last campaign and Spalletti has hinted at building his squad around the striker.

Oliseh says Osimhen can be better than Samuel Eto’o

Sports Brief earlier reported that former Super Eagles captain Sunday Oliseh has lauded Victor Osimhen’s efforts in front of goal, saying the striker could be better than Cameroon legend Samuel Eto’o.

Osimhen has been impressive in front of goal since joining Italian giants Napoli in the summer of 2020 and many have tipped him to become great.

The 23-year-old found the back of the net 18 times in 32 matches in all competitions for the Partenopei last season and helped the club qualify for the Champions League.
