Napoli striker Victor Osimhen has set an astonishing Nigerian record in the Serie A following his brace against Udinese helping his side to a 2-1 win, Vavel reports.
The 23-year-old Nigerian international helped his side come from a goal down to claim all three points, as they keep the pressure on league leaders AC Milan.
Udinese opened the scoring in the 22nd minute after Udogie went forward through the middle and played to Roberto Pereyra.
The Argentine midfielder set up Deulofeu on the half-moon and the striker hit it into the right corner of Ospina to put the visitors ahead.
Desperate Napoli started the second half in a fighting fashion and got one back in the 51st minute after Mario Rui took a free-kick from the left and Osimhen went free in the middle of the box to head the ball home and equalise for the home side; 1-1.
The Nigerian international made it 2-1 in the 62nd minute as Giovanni di Lorenzo received a pass on the right, tabled Politano and crossed low from the edge of the box.
Osimhen was quick to rifle the ball into the net to help Napoli turn the match around. It ended Napoli 2-1 Udinese.
Osimhen is now the first Nigerian in history to reach the double figures of goals for two different seasons in Serie A and in general, the fourth African player to do so, after George Weah, Samuel Eto'o and Mohamed Salah.
He scored 10 league goals last season and has already scored 11 in this campaign.

Meanwhile, Sports Brief earlier reported that Newcastle United are already preparing a huge offer for the Nigerian striker to tempt him to make the switch to England.
The Magpies had an initial bid for the 23-year-old turned down in January by Napoli but the Newcastle United have shown they are unrelenting in their pursuit of the Nigerian forward.
Osimhen who is also a transfer target for Manchester United has scored 15 goals in all competitions for Napoli in the present campaign.
