Zlatan Ibrahimovic will continue his fairytale adventure with AC Milan after the striker signed a new one-year deal with the Serie A champions.
The 40-year-old forward helped the Rossoneri to their first Scudetto in over a decade last season as AC Milan beat city rivals Inter Milan to the Serie A title.
The Serie A champions have now offered to keep the veteran forward for another season, but Ibrahimovic will take a significant pay cut to remain with the club Marca reports.

The Swedish forward will receive a pay cut from $7 million to $2 million, which marks a significant fall in wages for the veteran forward.
Ibrahimovic is currently injured and will be out for over six months after undergoing surgery for a knee injury he suffered last season.
AC Milan closing deal for Crotone attacker Junior Messias
Meanwhile, AC Milan are looking to bolster their squad ahead of the 2022/23 season following the club’s qualification to the UEFA Champions League as Serie A winners.
According to Tribal Football, the Rossoneri are closing a permanent deal for Crotone attacker Junior Messias who joined them on loan last season.
AC Milan has agreed to pay Crotone €4.5m plus add-ons which is lower than the €5.4m fee initially agreed with the Serie A club.
