John Maduka is officially the new coach of Maritzburg United.
The former Royal AM manager was unveiled as the new manager at a special press conference today.
Rumours were circulating from Monday that Maduka had resigned from his post at the Shauwn Mkhize’s side, but it was never confirmed, iDiski Times reported.
Maduka has signed a three-year contract with the Team of Choice and will start at the club ahead of the 2022/23 Dstv Premiership season.
Ditheko Mototo was also announced as the First Assistant.
Maduka enjoyed a stellar season at Royal AM and led Shauwn Mkhize’s side to a third-place finish in the league. They also reached the semi-finals of the Nedbank Cup.

KickOff reported yesterday that Maduka handed in his resignation and was going to take over the vacant post at Maritzburg United. Maritzburg United are without a coach after they parted ways with Ernst Middendorp.
Royal AM CEO Sinky Mnisi refused to comment on the news, while owner, Shauwn Mkhize, also hasn’t shed insight into the matter, iDsiki Times reported.
