Brilliant McTominay gets recognition

On social media, Bruno Fernandes was among those who gave McTominay the recognition he deserves after the win over Spain.

Fernandes posted a video on social media along with the caption:

"What a player, McTerminator @scottmctominay [clap emoji]."

Alejandro Garnacho, youth hopefuls Charlie McNeill and Charlie Savage and former Manchester United stars Timothy Fosu-Mensah and Angel Gomes all took to McTominay’s comment section to hail his heroics.

Speaking after the game, the United midfielder hailed his nation, admitting they outplayed their Spanish counterparts.

"We knew they'd have lots of the ball, and the manager said be clinical when we had the opportunities." He said as quoted on Express Sport.

McTominay will hope his performances are enough to convince Erik Ten Hag to stick by him as he prepares to return to his club.

United face Newcastle in their next Premier League game in what will certainly be a tricky fixture for the third-placed Red Devils.

Scotland’s apparent ‘rubbish’ tactics

Sports Brief also reported on how Manchester City midfielder Rodri brutally slammed the Scotland national team’s style of play.

Speaking after the game, as EuroFoot reports Rodri blasted Scottish players for time wastage and unsportsmanlike conduct throughout the game.

"It's the way they play. It's a bit rubbish because they are always wasting time. They, how do you say? Provoke you… They always fall and for me, this is not football!"
