Former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand believes Jude Bellingham will be a better fit for the Red Devils than the England midfielder joining Liverpool.

Both Premier League clubs are going neck to neck for the Borussia Dortmund midfielder, who has been touted to make a mega move in the summer.

According to Goal, Ferdinand believes with Manchester United’s recent trajectory, they would be the best possible option for Bellingham to join other than Liverpool, who has stagnated.

"If I'm a player, say Jude Bellingham and someone says, 'Manchester United or Liverpool, where are you going?', forget my Manchester United ties, I have to go with United right now.

Bellingham joined Borussia Dortmund in 2020 from boyhood club Birmingham and has gone on to score 21 goals in 123 appearances for the Bundesliga club.

Meanwhile, Borussia Dortmund is becoming more interested in Naby Keita as they look for a replacement for Jude Bellingham, who is expected to leave in the summer, Daily Mirror reports.

Keita is out of contract in the summer and is unlikely to put pen to paper on a new deal at Anfield with Dortmund set to now snap up the former RB Leipzig star in the summer.
