Manchester United defender Harry Maguire was hailed as a hero despite only playing for two minutes in the Carabao Cup final.

Maguire appeared to snub Avram Glazer, the co-chairman, who made a rare appearance to watch United play.

The last time Avram was present for a United game was all the way back in August 2022, when the Red Devils suffered a 2-1 defeat to Brighton and Hove Albion.

Months later, and manager Erik Ten Hag guided United to their very first piece of silverware in six years as a 2-0 win over the Magpies meant they were the new Carabao Cup holders.

As United players soaked up the moment amid celebrations, fans picked up on an interesting incident.

Maguire and company made their way to the balcony to pick up their winners’ medals, and the defender was among the first to gather for the trophy ceremony.

In full glare of cameras, Maguire acknowledged some United officials but completely ignored the Glazers, something which caught the eye of fans online.

“That’s the best thing Maguire has done as a Man United player,” One fan commented.

“Avram probably doesn’t even know Maguire is a United player,” another one joked.

"We have our history together, the two, Licha and Antony, in Amsterdam we did some dancing. I hope we can do some more in the future. Therefore we have to invest, sacrifice, every day," He said.
