Manchester United's resilience was tested by a manager-less Leeds United forcing them to fight back from two goals down to earn a draw at Old Trafford.
It was the club's first game without suspended ace midfielder Casemiro, who was shown a straight red card for violent conduct in the win over Crystal Palace.
The match also marked Jadon Sancho's return to goalscoring for the first time since September, having spent months out of the team on a personal rehabilitation programme.
Ten Hag's message to Sancho
United boss Erik Ten Hag was delighted with winger Sancho for getting on the scoresheet and helping the team avoid defeat. He also urged him to do more to prevent setbacks.

‘Very happy. He’s all the way back. We know he’s a magnificent player. I think consistently he can have a big impact. But he has to work hard. It will motivate him to get more. I really enjoyed it, especially for him. It will strengthen him,’ he said, as quoted by Metro UK.
In another interview with BBC Sports, the Dutch manager claimed the player has more to do to get his career back on track.
‘I am pleased and proud he did it. I will back him, the coaches will, and the team will, but finally, he has to do it himself,’ he said.
How fans react to Sancho's goal
The 22-year-old took to his social media after the game and sent an emotional message to the fans after his return to the goals and was received with open arms.

Ten Hag's heart-warming moment with Sancho
Sports Brief earlier reported that the United boss shared a heart-warming moment with the winger on his first appearance since October.
It came in the Carabao Cup game against Nottingham Forest and both players and manager were seen all smiles on the touchline before the former Dortmund man replaced Antony.
The Red Devils paid £73m for Sancho in 2021, but he has not looked like the player that was one of the bests in the German league in the previous years.
