It was his seventh and eighth goal in a row at the Theatre of Dreams, one behind Dennis Viollet's all-time record of nine, with cross-town rivals Manchester City up next on Saturday afternoon.

McCarthy praises Africa Super League

The upcoming Africa Super League already has itself a high-profile and respected fan in McCarthy, Sports Brief previously reported.

The Bafana Bafana legend and current Manchester United first-team coach has thrown his weight behind the lucrative tournament set to start in August.

While he admitted African football is brilliant, McCarthy said it was not on the same level as football in Europe.

Mbappe and Rashford: differences explained

Man United player Rashford has turned over a new leaf under Erik ten Hag and is firing on all cylinders.

The England forward has already surpassed the number of goals he scored in the last season, Sports Brief also reported.

Rashford's current form has since brought up a new debate on whether he is at the same level as French striker, Kylian Mbappe.
