Brazil and Manchester United star Casemiro has wished Cristiano Ronaldo well in his future endeavours, as the 37-year-old leaves the Red Devils.

Ronaldo is now a free agent after United released him last week after the explosive interview with Piers Morgan, where he made staggering remarks about the club and manager Erik ten Hag.

Ronaldo and Casemiro were longtime teammates at Real Madrid, and they won several trophies before deciding to seek new adventures.

Casemiro joined the Red Devils last summer and has been one of the club's best players this season. Meanwhile, CR7 has endured a tumultuous second season at Old Trafford since returning last season.

He has scored just three goals and after seeking to leave this past summer, had a highly publicised fallout with ten Hag, according to Sky Sports.

Casemiro warns Ronaldo

Speaking as Brazil prepares to face Switzerland in their second group game at the 2022 World Cup, Casemiro said he wished him well except when they played against him.

“I wish him all the best in his football career - except when he plays against me - but I wish him all the best," he said according to MEN.

He praised Ronaldo, adding that it was sad seeing one of the best players of all time leaving the club.

“I haven’t exchanged any messages with him, but Cristiano Ronaldo is a player with great experience, and he knows what’s best for his career. Of course we are sad..."

Ronaldo scored from the spot in Portugal’s 3-2 win over Ghana in their first game in Qatar, while Casemiro produced a phenomenal performance as Brazil beat a determined Serbia 2-0.

Ronaldo's lucrative offer

Sports Brief earlier reported on Ronaldo receiving an offer to join a Saudi Arabia club since he is now a free agent.

Reports suggest the forward has already received a lucrative deal bid, with the Saudi side allegedly tabling a huge £186 million for his services.

Saudi giants Al-Nassr have tabled a three-year deal in a contract that would see the striker play into his early 40s. It is understood the club have offered Ronaldo a staggering $75 million (£62 million) a year.
