Ronaldo became the first player to reach the 700-goal mark for club football on Sunday, October 9.

With the score still 1-1, Ronaldo was introduced in the first half to replace Anthony Martial, who was injured.

The Portuguese talisman made an instant impact as he slotted the ball home from Casemiro's brilliant pass to make it 2-1.

Neither side could find the back of the net in the second half, with Ronaldo's goal moments before the interval earning United a crucial win.

The goal also earned the former Real Madrid attacker a place in the history books as he became the first player to his 700 career goals at the club level ahead of Lionel Messi.
