Manchester United superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has never shied away from continuing his storied career with the Portuguese international intending to keep playing football for as long as his body allows.

The five-time Ballon d'Or winner religiously works on maintaining a peak physical condition in defiance of time's unrelenting march as he nears the twilight of an illustrious career spanning almost two decades.

Regardless of his voluminous appetite to see records trembling at his presence, time will inevitably prevail and the well-decorated Portuguese will have to call time on his career.

As he enters the final stages of his career, begging the question: What does Ronaldo have in mind?

The former Juventus and Real Madrid forward has hinted at a plethora of professions that would appeal to him when he eventually calls time on his playing career including coaching.

The 37-year-old did "not rule out" moving into coaching when he calls time on his playing career. When asked whether he has considered going into coaching after hanging up his boots, he said:

"Right now, I'm not interested in becoming a coach, but maybe one day I will be bored and I will feel like it," he told DAZN Italy in late 2019 via GOAL. "Never say never.
"If I became a coach, I would be a motivator, the coach must pass on his passion and talent to the team.
"For example, I like to have fun, dribble, shoot, score goals, I should pass this on to the team, as a motivator."

Having played just three competitive games under the Dutch manager, Ronaldo is yet to strike the perfect chemistry with the aforementioned managers but in United's most-recent game against Liverpool, the 37-year-old and Ten Hag appeared to be in sync in terms of instructions on the touchline.

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Cristiano Ronaldo has taken to the gym to intensify his preparations ahead of the new season.

Ronaldo, whose future is uncertain following rumours of a possible move away from Manchester United, has been exempted from the club's pre-season preparations.

The 37-year-old was earlier linked with Chelsea, Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain however none of the high-profile clubs have registered interest in luring Ronaldo away from Old Trafford.
