Manchester United manager, Erik ten Hag has laid down the principles he wants his players to abide by as he takes charge of the Old Trafford club this season.

The Dutch manager who is known to be a strict disciplinarian has set five sets of rules which he believes will help to develop a strong bond with United's players and make them a winning team.

Erik ten Hag has now revealed any player late to training or team meetings will be dropped without exception while adding that drinking alcohol during a match week is also banned Daily Mail reports.

The Dutch manager has also banned players from adopting their own personal chefs as all players are to use the canteen at Carrington and BMIs will be checked on a weekly basis.

Erik ten Hag has also told his players to come and see him if they have any problems, rather than going to their agents as he has requested that all player grievances are run by him.

Man United are due to travel to Thailand on Friday, June 8 for the start of their pre-season tour where they will square up against Premier League rivals Liverpool.
